Robert Brown

Executive Summary

Robert Brown is an independent retail consultant working in association with Master Data in North America, Master Vision in the European Union and Y-Consulting in Russia and the CIS. He has experience developing programs for retailers at not only the largest retailer in the world, but also with the largest retailers in several segments and is familiar with the full range of retail from mass market to luxury in all capacities and segments with a focus on developing and optimizing industry leading best practices. Additional experience was gained in Horeca developing analytics for site selection, businesses expansion and marketing development for Five Star luxury resorts and restaurants.

 

            Currently located in Moscow, Russia he has spent 7 months as a freelance consulting contributing on many engagements with Y-consulting, a leading fashion think-tank in Russia and the CIS. Additionally he has taken part in the Russian Retail Forum, Siberian Retail forum and the French Chamber of Commerce Luxury Forum as a speaker.   He also spoke on leadership development at the International Forum for CIS Forensics Directors at the Texas Southern University.   He has a deep understanding of the economic climate and driving factors and is experience in developing crisis management strategy.

 

            Robert is flexible and available for engagements globally and ready to travel.   In addition to being a English native speaker, he has a thorough network of contacts throughout the world as he has traveled 26 countries in South America, Europe and Asia inclusding all 50 states and 2 U.S. territories, Canada and Mexico.   Within Russia he has developed a broad understanding of Russian culture having worked on engagements in 7 cities in 7 months, gaining insight into regional specific dynamics as well.

 

            Prior to consulting Robert had experience in executive and directory roles with Safeway, Kroger, Wal-mart, Dollar General, and Lowe’s HIW, in addition to executive rolls in horeca with Leisure Resorts and Restaurants Northwest. This experience gives him a comprehensive understanding of every aspect of retail that is delivered to his clients in every engagement that he contributes to or manages.
